This film may resemble Fifty Shades of Grey or other films depicting women as objects of male desire. Yet, this version goes further: depicting sexual assault, violent beatings, and sexual violence as acts of love while creating unhealthy sexual fantasies among impressionable teenagers.
People have taken to protesting the release of this film and have launched an online petition on Change.org asking Netflix to pull it from its platform because it promotes sex slavery and endangers young people’s health and wellbeing. Furthermore, according to this petition, forced oral sex, strangulation, and unsafe sex practices romanticized within this movie have also been highlighted as significant violations.
The Change.org petition has received over 1.5 million signatures to date.
It has even been signed by celebrities like Welsh singer Duffy, who has survived both sexual assault and domestic violence. The petition urges Netflix to remove this film due to it being “sexually exploitative and dangerous for young people,” as well as encouraging unhealthy fantasies of domestic violence in impressionable teens’ minds. Change.org currently boasts 1.5 million petition signatures urging Netflix to remove it.
Is 365 Days a good movie?
Critics were harsh in their review of 365 Days, yet it remains an enormously popular film. Netflix’s most-watched list features it regularly, while Michele Morrone is beloved among her fan base. Of course, as this movie deals with sexual themes, it naturally attracts a large following, but is it really any good? Or just another trashy sexkamerki flick?
This film follows Laura, a young Polish woman, as she falls for Mafia boss Massimo Torricelli and enters into an abusive relationship. Torricelli forces Laura to do everything he wishes with no promise that she’ll be freed after one year has passed – this leads to some sexual content but also lousy dialogue and plot issues in this sexploitation-infused thriller.
Though not an excellent movie, The Sextant remains captivating to watch. Packed with sexual scenes – including some scorching ones!- it provides ample entertainment value. Additionally, its controversial subject matter provides an excellent platform to discuss sexual violence.
As well as featuring plenty of sex, this film boasts plenty of drama. Laura, one of the main characters, suffers from heart conditions that cause her to faint during sex scenes, making them all the more intense. While not for everyone, this film should definitely not be missed by pornography enthusiasts!
Are we discussing whether 365 Days is a good or bad movie? It’s difficult to say with certainty. While it is certainly not good, its popularity demonstrates how easily people can be influenced by pop culture and media.
This movie can be highly controversial and may not appeal to everyone. But if you enjoy sexy, gory films that make your forearms and fingertips feel as though they have had a workout, 365 Days may just be for you! Just prepare to sit through terrible dialogue and acting before being thrilled by frequent sexual scenes!
Is 365 Days a lousy movie?
Since 365 Days’ premiere on Netflix, it has quickly become one of the hottest topics. The movie appears similar to 50 Shades but features steamy sexual scenes, which have caused much debate. But are these scenes natural and safe for viewers to watch?
Though its provocative premise may seem provocative, 365 Days is a relatively harmless film. Its sexual encounters don’t compare with some of its more controversial peers like Fifty Shades or The Blob, nor does it contain any disturbing sexual violence seen more recently in this genre. But unlike these other movies, 365 Days has its own distinct charms – such as being quite funny when mocking its absurd premise and offering more realistic portrayals of toxic relationships than those found in Fifty Shades and its Like.
However, this movie does have its flaws. Most significantly, its formulaic nature becomes tiresomely familiar: Laura falls for Massimo, an Italian mafia kingpin who kidnaps and abducts her before telling her she will be free after one year if they fall in love – something which happens almost instantly and leads to many instances of aggressive sexual congress between them.
Furthermore, the plot of this movie is highly unrealistic: no woman would permit herself to be abducted by an unfamiliar man and give them control of her fate; although there are explicit sex scenes throughout, most are too mild for classification as pornographic material.
Furthermore, the acting in 365 Days could be better at best. There are some moments in which some cast members manage to rise above their material. Still, the performances remain subpar – particularly Nacho, who should represent rugged working-class authenticity but instead looks more like someone out of a soap opera.
